There are no formal entry requirements to attend this workshop, however, it is designed for people working on, or near electrical equipment and systems, it can also refresh practicing electrician’s knowledge and understanding of the procedure.

- Introduction to Star/Delta starting
- Interpreting motor nameplate data
- Correct motor termination procedures
- Calculating overloads and current
- Variable Speed Drives (VFDs) and Softstarts: Applications and Operation
- Energizing and programming a VFD
- Understanding motor-related panel drawings
- Relays and contactors: function and connection
- Typical field devices used with motors
- Fault finding procedures for motor circuits
- Diagnosing faulty motors, including testing procedures
